Privacy Policy

Information players provide

• A nickname, shown on leaderboards and in Group Competitions. We ask players not to use their full real name, and the Game checks nicknames to keep them friendly.
• If you create a group for Group Competitions (for example, a teacher setting one up for a class): the group's name and, optionally, a school name. The Game gives the group a 6-digit join code to share.
• If you join a group: the join code you enter.

Game activity

• Stars and scores you earn in levels, daily challenges and other modes. These are used for leaderboards and Group Competitions, together with your nickname.
• Your progress and settings, which are stored on your device.

Information processed automatically

• To show leaderboards and run Group Competitions, the Game connects to our servers. This uses basic technical information, such as your device's IP address and a random ID the Game creates for your device, so we can save your nickname and scores and send back the right results. We don't use this information to identify you or to track you across other apps or websites.
• Limited device information needed for the Game to run correctly on your device.

Buying the Game

Get 9 is a premium game that you buy once through the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their own terms and privacy policies. We may receive confirmation that a purchase happened, but we never receive or store your payment card or banking details.

• We don't require an account, an email address, a phone number, a photo or a real name.
• We don't collect precise location, contacts, or access to your camera or microphone.
• We don't show ads, and we don't use advertising, tracking or third-party analytics tools.
• We don't offer in-app purchases, and we never receive your payment card or banking details.
• We don't sell or share personal information, and we don't build profiles of players.

• To run the Game and save your progress.
• To show leaderboards and run Group Competitions.
• To keep nicknames and group names appropriate, and to protect the Game against abuse or cheating.
• To fix problems and keep the Game working well.
• To respond to support requests.

• With other players: your nickname and stars appear on leaderboards. In Group Competitions, members of your group see the group's name, school name (if one was added), and each member's nickname and stars.
• Service providers: companies that host our servers process data on our behalf only to provide that service.
• App stores: Apple and Google process the purchase of the Game.
• Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the Game and its players.

We do not sell or share personal information.

The Game includes a link where grown-ups can buy the physical GET 9 card game from GameKraft. That link opens outside the Game, and the other site's own privacy policy applies there.

Get 9 is designed for players of all ages, including children under 13. We follow the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws. We only handle the limited information described above, which is what the Game needs to work, and we never ask a child for more information than the Game needs.

When a school uses Get 9 in a classroom, the school may give consent on behalf of parents for this limited, educational use.

Parents, guardians and teachers can ask us to review or delete a child's nickname, scores or group information, or to stop any further use of it, by contacting us at support@rainspirestudios.com. Because we don't collect names or contact details, please include the nickname and, if relevant, the group's name or join code so we can find it.

Progress and settings stay on your device until you delete the Game. Nicknames, scores and group information on our servers are kept only while they are needed for leaderboards and Group Competitions. Leaving a group removes you from it, and you can ask us to delete your information at any time.

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the Game. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA and UK under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because we collect very little and don't keep player accounts, the information we hold about you is limited. To make a request, contact us at support@rainspirestudios.com.

You can play without joining a group, and you can change your nickname in the Game at any time.

Rainspire Studios LLC is based in the United States. If you access the Game from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. If a change affects information about children, we will get any consent the law requires first.
